Fluence is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support fire safety across product development, testing, permitting, and compliance activities for battery energy storage systems. You will translate complex fire protection requirements into practical engineering solutions and collaborate with cross‑functional teams worldwide.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 10–15 years of experience in fire protection engineering.
- Experience in fire protection design, code compliance documents, CFD fire modeling, and permitting.
- Ability to work independently on complex projects with minimal guidance.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to translate code requirements into solutions.
- Experience negotiating with AHJs and navigating diverse code environments.
Responsabilités
- Translate fire code requirements into compliant product designs or permitting solutions.
- Analyze fire risks and support fire protection designs for products and projects.
- Develop code compliance matrices and document design responses.
- Stay current on industry code changes and emerging fire safety technologies.
- Support sales, permitting reviews, and customer inquiries with technical expertise.
- Contribute to testing programs and international certification efforts.
