Hydrogen Group seeks a Fire Safety Subject Matter Expert to support utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will review fire safety systems, assess hazards, and ensure compliance with NFPA, UL, and IFC standards across projects.

The role includes hazard analyses (HMA, FMEA), CFD studies, and coordinating with fire departments and regulators. Travel locally to support authorities and communities.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in fire safety assessments for BESS preferred.
• Experience reviewing UL 9540A reports.
• Familiarity with NFPA, IFC standards.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
• Willingness to travel locally.

Responsabilidades

• Review UL 9540A test reports to understand fire behavior and hazards.
• Provide technical guidance on BESS fire safety system designs.
• Ensure designs meet fire safety codes and standards.
• Oversee hazard analyses and CFD simulations.
• Engage with fire departments, AHJs, and authorities.
• Educate responders about BESS hazards and procedures.
• Develop standardized safety templates and reporting.
