Job summary

CM Mission Critical Engineering in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to design fire protection and alarm systems while ensuring building code compliance. The role focuses on analyzing fire risks and developing safe evacuation plans.

Job Title: Fire Protection Engineer

Reports to: Principal

Job Summary:

The Fire Protection Engineer is responsible for ensuring structural integrity & safety during fire events, utilizing science & engineering principles to protect people, property, & businesses from fire & smoke. This role involves analyzing fire risks to design specialized systems like sprinklers & alarms, ensuring building code compliance, & developing evacuation plans.

• 1-3 years of fire protection design experience
• E.I.T. certification preferred but not required
• PE certification or active pursuit of licensure is a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk & working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Ability to travel and move throughout construction sites intermittently as required by project needs.
