Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Fire Protection Designer in Atlanta to develop fire protection system designs and construction documents for data center and mission-critical facilities. You will model sprinkler, standpipe, fire pump, and fire alarm systems in Revit, coordinating with architects and MEP to produce clash-free drawings.

You will apply NFPA 13/14/20/72, IBC/IFC, and local amendments to every design, ensuring compliant, constructible outcomes for complex environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an engineering field or equivalent knowledge from education/work experience.
• 3-10 years of Fire Protection Design experience.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoSPRINK and AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of NFPA and ICC codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Produces highly detailed, coordinated construction drawings across all disciplines.
• Coordinates with internal team members to support project success.
• Integrates into a highly technical team & consistently delivers high-quality work.
• Designs compliant & effective fire protection systems & fire alarm systems.
• Assists with submittal reviews, RFIs, & construction-phase documentation.

Job Summary

The Fire Protection Designer develops fire protection system designs and construction documents for data center and mission-critical facilities, working under the direction of the Fire Protection Engineer of Record. This role models and lays out sprinkler, standpipe, fire pump, and fire alarm systems in Revit, coordinating with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines to produce clash‑free, constructible drawings. The designer applies NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 72, the IBC and IFC, and local amendments to every design.

Qualifications
