Johnson Controls seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead moderately complex projects with medium to high corporate priority. You will oversee scope definition, risk management, and project methodology while coordinating with clients and internal teams to maintain schedule, cost, and quality.
Applicants should have at least five years in project management, travel readiness (25%+), and may hold CSPM or PMI PMP certification within six months.

You will lead moderately complex projects that generally have been assigned a medium to high corporate priority. Provide subject‑matter expertise in areas including project management, setup of local project offices, project scope definition, risk identification, project methodology, prioritization, and facilitation. Maintains control of schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations/satisfaction at all times. Present to management and/or customers on project updates, project cycle, and encouraged results. May manage vendor relationships throughout the installation. Ensure projects are closed on time and in scope.
Understanding of Project Management Institute's (PMI) methodology and key knowledge areas: integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk and procurement management.
Responsible for communication and status reporting to project staff, customer and Johnson Controls management. Responsible for work plan, leading project resources, duty assignment, responsibilities, scope of authority and providing technical advice and problem resolution to all aspects of project.
Responsible for tracking project expenditures and installation progress through reviews of status reports prepared by project personnel and modifies schedules and plans as required. Maintains full financial accountability to project; requires ability to forecast financial trends across project, understand internal Johnson Controls and external client cost structures and translate to/from Johnson Controls accounting methodology using AIA standards.
Maintain project quality; conduct inspections of worksite, ensuring workmanship meets Johnson Controls installation required quality standards and expectations.
Provide adaptable, concise, and professional support to all customers and other personnel and ensures timely follow‑up on all customer concerns and issues.
Certifications preferred or ability to acquire certification within 6 months of employment in the position.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $85,200 - $117,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
