Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Life Safety Systems Engineer in the United States to support fire protection and life safety projects. The role handles design of fire sprinkler systems, detection, and alarm solutions, using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

The engineer collaborates with clients and local authorities, delivering constructible 2D/3D designs and calculations while guiding junior staff and coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with the ability to attain PE licensure.
• At least 4 years of AutoCAD design experience.
• Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA101 Life Safety Code and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code.
• Knowledge and application of NFPA 70 (NEC) and electrical design requirements.
• Knowledge and application of NFPA 400 Hazardous Materials Code.
• Knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems and manufacturers' equipment, including VESDA systems.
• Design experience with Fire Alarm, VESDA systems, security CCTV, HPM and Leak Detection.
• Knowledge of design and construction specifications.
• Experience estimating and scheduling mid-to-large‑scale projects.

Responsibilities

• We're looking for a Fire Protection / Life Safety Systems (LSS) Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our client's business.
• The ideal candidate will be located in AZ, OR, TX or PA; qualified candidates elsewhere in the U.S. will be considered.
• Provide code‑compliant asset protection and fire life safety mitigation solutions and take ownership on various projects as engineer of record.
• Interface directly with client counterparts and state/local code officials; create 2D/3D deliverables in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
