Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies seeks a Life Safety Systems (LSS) Designer for a contract-to-hire role supporting projects across multiple sites, including Austin, TX. You will design and document Fire Alarm, Voice Evacuation, Gas Detection, and CCTV systems using AutoCAD and Revit, coordinating with engineers and architects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in life safety system design, knowledge of NFPA codes, and the ability to work across disciplines. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• 3+ years of AutoCAD experience (preferably Revit).
• Experience designing Life Safety Systems including Fire Alarm, Voice Evacuation, Gas Detection, and CCTV.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineers and design leads to deliver complex Life Safety System packages.
• Use AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create 3D BIM models in collaboration with architects and engineers.
• Develop layouts for Fire Alarm Detection, Gas Detection, and related Life Safety systems.
• Support Security and Intrusion detection system design as part of the life safety scope.
