Job summary

Boston College is seeking a FireSafety Manager to lead the university's comprehensive fire and life safety programs across facilities under BC ownership.

The role involves planning, coordinating with campus stakeholders and local authorities, and driving compliance with fire safety regulations. Requires 7+ years of command experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; NIMS training is preferred. On-call with some weekend duties is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in fire safety, engineering, protection and/or related science discipline.
• NIMS training is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, administer and manage fire and life safety programs for the University.
• Liaise with Facilities Services, research community and local fire authorities to ensure compliance.
• Perform risk assessments and evaluate programs and systems; make recommendations to management.
