Job summary

Industrial Fire Protection is seeking a motivated Low-Voltage Field Technician to join our nationwide installation teams. You will perform hands-on wiring, conduit installation, device hookup, and system startup support for fire alarm and life safety projects.

You will learn specialized systems through on-the-job training and pursue industry certifications while working in active construction environments. Expect up to 90% travel with regional and nationwide assignments.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of hands-on experience in low-voltage, electrical, structured cabling, or related fields.
Ability to read basic plans, drawings, and technical instructions.
Willingness to travel regionally and nationwide up to 90%.

Responsibilities

Pull, route, label, and terminate low-voltage wiring for fire and life safety systems.
Install conduit, supports, control panels, detectors, and devices.
Assist startup, testing, commissioning, inspections, and maintenance.
Read electrical drawings and follow installation instructions.
Safely use hand and power tools and ladders in job sites.
Document field reports, time records, and work orders accurately.
Coordinate with other technicians and project teams on site.
