Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Field Project Manager in the Fire division to lead complex fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects across diverse facilities. You will establish local project offices, define scope, manage risk, and drive on-time execution within budget.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in installations of Fire/Electrical/Security systems, PM experience, and MS Office proficiency; PMP/NICET II within timeframe is preferred, with willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate or diploma in Fire & Life Safety, Electrical/Electronic; Security.
• Certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred.
• PM certification within 2 years of employment.
• NICET Level II within 1 year of employment.
• MS Office applications (Excel, Project) proficiency.
• Available for frequent local travel.
• 5 years’ installation experience in Fire, Electrical, or Security systems.
• Project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex fire alarm, security, and communications installation projects.
• Set up local project offices, define scope and plan resources.
• Manage schedule, cost, safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Present project updates to management and customers.
• Coordinate changes and ensure on-time, in-scope project delivery.
