Job summary

Morrow Meadows Corporation in Walnut, CA is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Estimator specialized in fire life safety systems. You will estimate commercial fire alarm systems and support related low voltage scopes such as access control, video surveillance and structured cabling.

The role requires detail-orientation, strong organization, and experience reviewing documents, creating accurate cost estimates, and supporting pursuits from bid through turnover.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating experience in low voltage systems, primarily fire alarm systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems in commercial/industrial construction
• Familiarity with NFPA, IBC and fire/life safety standards

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications and bid documents
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial fire alarm systems
• Perform quantity takeoffs for devices, cabling, pathways and infrastructure
• Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers for pricing and technical info
• Identify scope gaps and value engineering opportunities
• Prepare proposals, clarifications and scope narratives
• Collaborate with operations, project management and business development
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks
• Maintain estimating databases and historical pricing
• Support design-build and negotiated projects
• Manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
