Livingston is seeking a Fire Inspector for a full-time role in the Fire Department in Livingston, NJ. The inspector will educate the public and perform inspections as part of the Fire Prevention Bureau, while providing technical and administrative support for inspection forms and reports.

Qualifications

• Current Fire Inspector/Official license from the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety.

Fire Inspector, Full Time - Fire Department

The Fire Inspector will: interact with the public providing education and inspection services as part of the Fire Prevention Bureau; provide technical and administrative support involving inspection-related forms and reports; provide support to the senior Fire Department staff. The Fire Inspector works independently under general supervision of the Assistant Fire Chief and Fire Chief; managing projects and responding to public inquiries/complaints.

This is a full time position with the following benefits: medical, dental, long term and short term disability, participation in the state pension plan and paid time off.

Special Requirements

Must possess a current Fire Inspector/Official license issued by the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety.

Must possess a driver's license valid in the State of New Jersey.
