Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Fire Inspection Technician to test and inspect fire-alarm systems in assigned buildings, ensuring safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. This role is customer-facing and contributes to Convergint's growth by delivering reliable service and reporting any system deficiencies.

The position requires a proactive, adaptable team player with a valid driver’s license and a commitment to safety and excellence across all inspections.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect commercial fire-alarm systems in assigned buildings.
• Identify and report problems or discrepancies found during inspections.
• Ensure customer satisfaction with all inspections and testing.
• Monitor the fire-alarm panel during testing operations.
• Interact with building owners or engineers before, during, and after testing.
• Review reports and determine next steps as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven Fire Inspection Technician to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will assist with the testing and inspection of fire-alarm systems in assigned buildings. You will help to identify and report any problems or deficiencies found in the systems you inspect. This is a customer-facing role, one that is responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects. As a Fire Inspection Technician, you will be part of a dynamic team that allows you to grow as Convergint grows.

Requirements

Education: High School/GED or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 1 year relevant field service or customer service

Preferred Experience (but Not Required)

• Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronics, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation

Individual pay rates will, of course, vary depending on the job, department, and location, as well as the individual skills, experience, certifications, specific licenses, and education of the applicant.

The expected compensation range for this position is between $19 to $27 an hour, depending on experience.
