Job summary

Silco Fire & Security in Columbus, OH seeks a Fire Inspection Sales Consultant to win new customers and cross-sell inspection services for extinguishers, sprinklers, alarms, and related systems. The Ohio Fire Code requires annual inspections, so you're building a trusted partner network.

You'll prospect, generate territory pipeline, prepare proposals, and close business while meeting performance standards and maintaining accurate records. Field-based, full-time exempt position.

Qualifications

• 2 years of business-to-business sales experience.
• Willingness to cold call; excellent follow-up and organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online research tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare proposals and communicate with customers in English.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record that meets Silco's insurance requirements (car allowance provided).

The Role

The Ohio Fire Code requires fire protection equipment to be inspected at least annually, so every business needs a partner like Silco. As a Fire Inspection Sales Consultant, you will win new customers and cross-sell existing customers on inspections of fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, fire alarms, exit/emergency lighting and suppression systems.

Required

What You Bring

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to climb ladders, use lifts, and work at various heights.
• Able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching throughout the workday.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces or outdoor environments as needed.
• Requires occasional pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
• Must be able to wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Capable of driving company vehicles and transporting equipment or materials when needed.
• Ability to remain alert and focused while performing detailed or repetitive tasks.
