This position is responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and performing checks in accordance with fire code, identifying system deficiencies, and preparing inspection reports.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install or service fire extinguishers in commercial and residential buildings.
• Test and repair existing fire extinguishers.
• Perform inspections to ensure compliance with code.
• Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting issues.
• Report work results accurately and promptly.
• Maintain company equipment and vehicle, including repairs and safety checks.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely.
• Respond to emergency service calls.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards preferred.
• Experience with fire extinguishers preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and in a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record, reliable transportation.
• Flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, or out-of-town work.
• Knowledge of life safety principles, codes, and regulations.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and reports.

Other Duties:

• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly stand, walk, handle objects, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift heavy objects.
• Additional physical abilities include balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, visual acuity, and repetitive motion.
