Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Service Technician to inspect, maintain, and service fire extinguishers for customers. This role emphasizes safety compliance, thorough inspections, and hands-on repairs to ensure equipment readiness.

Responsibilities include on-site testing, part replacement, recharging extinguishers, and training customers on proper use. You will coordinate with service staff to optimize routes and document activities in our system.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting and servicing fire extinguishers per industry codes and standards.
• Ability to perform maintenance including disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of extinguishers.
• Capable of inspecting and replacing components such as valves, hoses, nozzles, and seals.
• Experience recharging and repressurizing extinguishers to specified levels.
• Proficient in installing brackets, signage, and related safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections to ensure code compliance and safe operation.
• Perform detailed maintenance and testing per procedures and standards.
• Inspect and replace parts such as valves, hoses, nozzles, and seals as needed.
• Recharge and repressurize extinguishers to recommended levels.
• Install and service mounting brackets and safety signage; provide on-site training to customers.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate service records using Service Trade platform.
• Assist with inventory management of extinguishers and components.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinators to optimize routes, orders, and scheduling.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety guidelines.
