Job summary

UniFirst First Aid + Safety is seeking a reliable Portable Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our team in Nashua, NH. You will inspect, service, repair portable extinguishers and emergency lighting, and train teammates to maintain NFPA 10 compliance.

Qualifications

• High school or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• NFPA Extinguisher Certification/License required.
• NFPA 10 code knowledge with monthly/annual inspections experience.
• State/city certification may be required for licensing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct portable fire extinguisher and emergency/exit lighting inspection, service, repair, and maintenance.
• Train team members in portable fire extinguisher and emergency/exit lighting service and inspection tasks.
• Provide portable fire extinguisher and emergency/exit lighting technical support.
• Assist team members performing monthly/annual NFPA 10 inspections where required.
• Assist team members with emergency egress lighting/exit sign testing as needed.
• Provide customer onsite audits and quoting for fire service.
• Present and demonstrate fire products/services to customers with service department collaboration.
• Maintain/repair portable fire equipment and emergency exit lighting for established customers.
• Provide fire services inspection software training to team members.
