What you need

• 1–2 years of experience as a fire extinguisher or range hood technician
• Ensure compliance with all company, local, state, and federal regulations including fire, NFPA, building and safety
• Knowledge within the fire protection industry, especially in fire extinguisher and/or pre‑engineered fire protection systems – including range hood systems
• Monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures
• Eagerness for professional development and growth
• Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to pass various background checks
• Reliable transportation, valid State Driver's License with acceptable driving record for use of company vehicle
• Desirable (but not required): Current license from AFPLB for Portable Extinguishers and Fixed Systems

What you will do

• Inspect, test, service, and/or install portable fire extinguishers, kitchen suppression systems, emergency lights, exit lights, range hoods and other applicable fire safety equipment and systems in accordance with applicable fire codes
• Maintain proper Risk Management and Safety procedures on all job sites per VSC policies
