Job summary

Gas and Supply is seeking a Fire Extinguisher Department Manager in Harvey, LA to lead the department, manage schedules, and ensure service commitments are met. You will oversee field operations, invoicing after service, and maintain required NFPA certifications while driving safety and quality across the team.

Qualifications

• Leadership or management experience in fire protection or related service industry.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Customer-service mindset with ability to build lasting relationships.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required industry certifications.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Experience with inspection, scheduling, and business software.
• Ability to analyze department performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, lead, and supervise Fire Extinguisher Department personnel.
• Provide ongoing coaching, development, and performance feedback.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and professional work environment.
• Work with other departments to ensure teamwork and quality expectations.
• Develop and manage the department's service schedule.
• Manage daily field operations and service commitments.
• Ensure all customers are invoiced after service.
• Oversee required NFPA Fire Extinguisher Technician certifications.
• Review and improve department processes.
• Maintain department records and inventory; keep vehicles and areas clean.
