Job summary

Hooper seeks a Fire Equipment Technician to support the growth of Hooper's fire equipment line. This on-site role involves installing and inspecting kitchen hood systems, fire extinguishers, and life-safety equipment for commercial and residential clients in Minnesota.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and safety-focused judgment. Hooper offers competitive compensation and benefits including health/dental/vision, a 401(k) with match, PTO, 9 paid

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2–3 years of related experience preferred.
Certifications in kitchen fire suppression systems preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
Safety-oriented with ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Install kitchen hood systems.
Inspect fire extinguishers, kitchen fire suppression systems, emergency lighting, and other life safety equipment.
Complete new installations of fire equipment.
Recharge fire extinguishers and related equipment.
Train others to recharge, install, and inspect equipment.
Collaborate with other Hooper trades and maintain safety practices.
