Prince George County, VA is seeking a part-time Logistics Officer Assistant to coordinate the Logistics Division within Prince George Fire and EMS. Responsibilities include assisting with orders, inventorying station supplies and uniforms, and supporting with vehicle maintenance, EMS equipment, fire equipment, and medication control in accordance with CSR/DEA regulations.
The role also involves purchasing assistance and participation in ongoing training.
Prince George County is currently accepting applications for the position of Fire & EMS Logistics Officer Assistant. This will be a part-time temporary position and will be responsible for coordinating the operations of the Logistics Division within Prince George Fire and EMS. Other duties will include but not limited toassisting with orders, checking and maintaining an inventory of all Fire and EMS station supplies and uniform items, supporting the Logistics Officer with needs and programs including vehicle maintenance, EMS equipment, fire equipment, and the medication control program (CSR/DEA Regulations), assisting Logistics Officer in purchases to complete purchase requests for all departmental equipment and supplies and participating in on-going educational programs, seminars, and workshops.
If certified (BLS, ALS and/or Paramedic) $27.57 - $30.40 hourly
No certifications - $19.46 hourlyThorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, and clerical techniques; thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic; thorough knowledge of the organization and functions of the department and of general administrative policies and practices; ability to keep office records and to prepare accurate reports from file sources; ability to perform and organize work independently; ability to prepare effective correspondence on routine matters and to perform routine office management details without referral to supervisor; skill in the use of personal computer hardware and software and general office equipment; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, County vendors, and the general public.Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and extensive office assistance experience.Possession of an appropriate driver's license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
