Qualifications

• Engineer or degree in Fire Science/Fire Prevention and 3+ years as a Fire Inspector (Florida) with Broward County Certification.
• Five years as Fire Plans Examiner with Broward County Certification OR ten years as Fire Inspector with FFPC familiarity and Broward Certification.
• Three years as Broward County certified Plans Examiner and NFPA certifications (CFI-1, CFPE, CFPS).

Responsibilities

• Directs, plans, organizes, and implements activities and programs in the Fire Department to prevent injury and property loss.
• Directs staff in fire prevention, inspection, and related programs for the city.
• Develops and administers department budget in line with city goals and policies.

Education
