Job summary

Qualifications

  • Seven years of full‑time suppression line experience as a Firefighter or combined roles.
  • Successful completion of City of Reno Aerial and Engine Academies or related examinations.
  • Possession of a valid Non‑Commercial Class B Driver's License with an F endorsement and EMT certification.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to alarms in assigned and other districts as directed.
  • Supervise and participate in hose laying, ladder placement, water streams, and rescue operations.
  • Direct routing and placement of apparatus at emergency scenes.
  • Supervise station and equipment maintenance and prepare budget information.
  • Enforce policy and draft changes; maintain records and reports.
