Job summary

Qualifications

• Age: at least 18 years at appointment.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Two years of current, full-time firefighting experience with a public fire agency.

Responsibilities

• Respond to fires and emergencies as part of a team.
• Rescue persons endangered by fires or other hazards and administer first aid.
• Conduct fire prevention tasks including inspections and fire safety education.
• Develop and maintain high levels of work knowledge and skills through training and drills.
• Operate and maintain firefighting equipment and apparatus safely and efficiently.
• Keep fire stations and facilities clean, orderly, and usable.
