Qualifications

• High School or GED required; Bachelor's in related field preferred or 6+ years of direct experience and 5+ current certifications in fire protection/related field.
• Demonstrated ability and/or competencies to manage a team successfully.
• Must be able to read, write and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency incidents; provide appropriate services including fire suppression and EMS; prepare incident reports.
• Recall readiness during storms, disasters or emergencies; maintain staffing to meet safety and customer needs.
• Participate in fire prevention, training, investigations and equipment maintenance activities.
• Identify, isolate and contain hazardous materials safely.
• Maintain fire station, equipment and apparatus; ensure readiness of tools and systems.
• Oversee inspections and maintenance schedules for emergency response equipment and life safety systems.
• Submit requisitions for materials and supplies as necessary.
• Complete Incident and Patient Reports; perform related duties as assigned.
