Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Firefighter to perform a broad range of administrative and technical tasks in support of fire suppression, prevention, and EMS. Responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining life safety equipment, handling hazardous materials, and responding to emergencies with rapid, disciplined action.

You will participate in prevention programs, training, and documentation while ensuring equipment readiness and inventory management to support operations 24/7.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; Bachelor's in related field preferred or 6+ years of applicable direct experience and 5+ current certifications.
• Firefighter I, IFSAC/ProBoard or NFPA 1081 equivalent.
• Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) CPR & AED.
• Hazardous Materials Technician; Rope Rescue Training.
• Confined Space Training.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency incidents; provide emergency rescue and fire suppression; perform first aid as needed.
• Recallable for storms, disasters, or emergencies outside regular hours; maintain staffing during events.
• Participate in fire prevention operations, training, investigations; equipment maintenance.
• Identify, isolate, and contain hazardous materials safely.
• Maintain and clean fire station, equipment, and apparatus; ensure readiness.
• Maintain EMS supplies and inventory; report levels to leadership.
