Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Considerable experience as firefighter/engineer.
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise emergency response operations including fires, rescues, EMS calls, and hazmat incidents.
• Command incidents using ICS protocols; determine strategies, allocate resources, and ensure safety.
• Train and evaluate; enforce discipline and operational standards.
• Oversee station readiness, vehicle and equipment maintenance, and supply management.
• Represent the department in public outreach, fire prevention, and educational programs.
• Complete and review reports on incidents, maintenance, training, and personnel performance.
• Maintain working knowledge of Town geography, infrastructure, and potential hazards.
