Position Summary

Inspect, install, and repair commercial door and firestop systems according to specific UL/FM assembly details and applicable NFPA and IBC/IFC code requirements. Assist the jobsite foreman with all physical aspects of each project, including verbal communication with customers as needed.

Requirements

• Must possess and maintain a valid NC driver’s license.
• Strong mechanical inclination and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in carpentry and drywall installation.
• Experience with both powered and hand tools.
• Experience with powered caulk dispensers and paint sprayers.
• Experience with low voltage access control and automatic door systems is a plus.
• Ability to navigate blueprints and construction documents.
• Proficiency with computers, tablets, and technology.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.
• Knowledge of general building practices and commercial construction.
• Understanding of fire and smoke rated structures.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Positive attitude, good attendance, and respectful communication skills.
• Proper use of safety and personal protective equipment.
