Job summary
Specialized Fire & Security, Inc in Orlando, FL is seeking a motivated Fire Alarm Technician to install, commission, test and service fire alarm systems. You will coordinate with contractors, run on-site activities, and provide on-call support while maintaining detailed daily reports.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in fire safety products, knowledge of fire alarm programming, NICET Level I, and Florida FASA certification, with ability to lift 75 lbs and work 2nd/3rd shifts.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience in installation and maintenance of Fire Safety Products.
- Knowledge of Fire alarm system programming.
- NICET Certification Level I.
- Florida FASA certification.
- Associates degree in Electronics or related field.
- Must be legally authorized to live and work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with contractors in the installation process of fire alarm systems.
- Perform system commissioning, loading software, and modifications as necessary.
- Test and inspect fire alarm systems under maintenance agreements.
- Troubleshoot and repair network hardware and software issues.
- Identify code and non-conformance issues.
- Generate detailed daily reports on activities completed and those requiring action.
- Support emergency on-call assignments on a rotational schedule.
- Support 2nd & 3rd shift work.
