Moore Security Solutions, LLC is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician - Level II to support installation, programming, inspection, and servicing of commercial fire alarm systems in the Houston area. The role requires strong field experience, independent work, and adherence to code compliance and client expectations.

Qualifications include 3+ years with commercial fire alarm systems, NFPA 72 knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints. NICET II certification and Texas FAL are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and service commercial fire alarm systems.

Position Overview:

Moore Security Solutions is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician - Level II to support the installation, programming, inspection, and servicing of commercial fire alarm systems. This role is ideal for a technician with solid field experience who can work independently, assist with complex projects, and ensure all systems meet code compliance and client expectations.

Location:

Houston, TX and surrounding areas

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, program, test, and service commercial fire alarm systems
• Perform inspections in accordance with NFPA 72 and local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements
• Troubleshoot system issues, including devices, panels, and communication pathways
• Assist with system startups, commissioning, and final acceptance testing
• Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and wiring schematics
• Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and general contractors on job progress
• Maintain accurate documentation including inspection reports, service tickets, and as-builts
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal fire codes and safety standards
• Train and support junior technicians when needed

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience working with commercial fire alarm systems
• Strong understanding of NFPA 72 codes and fire alarm system operations

Preferred Qualifications:

• NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (or ability to obtain)
• Experience with major fire alarm manufacturers (e.g., Silent Knight, Notifier, Fire-Lite, Bosch, etc.)
• Texas Fire Alarm License (FAL) or ability to obtain
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification
• Experience working on commercial construction or retrofit projects
