Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is hiring an installer responsible for the installation and certification of life safety systems in accordance with NFPA codes and standards.

You will review blueprints, test installed devices, and provide documentation and sign-off upon successful testing and certification. The role requires strong electrical aptitude, 3+ years of Fire Alarm experience, and good communication skills. A company vehicle may be provided and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical/technical aptitude with ability to apply learned skills.
• Minimum 3 years of Fire Alarm industry experience.
• NICET Fire Alarm Technology certification should be pursued within first year.
• Proficiency with test equipment: digital multimeters, battery analyzers, sound level meters.
• Excellent written/oral communication and customer service.
• Experience managing teams on projects.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints to determine device locations and placement.
• Install equipment according to NFPA and life safety codes.
• Perform testing and certification of life safety systems.
• Provide documentation and sign-off after testing.
• Maintain accurate records and report job status.
• Coordinate with engineers and site contacts on arrival and conclusion.
