Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Experience as Fire Alarm Technician preferred.
• Proficiency reading electrical schematics and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations to install, service, and upgrade fire alarm systems.
• Respond to emergencies and after-hours calls to ensure safety.
• Perform annual and semi-annual inspections of Life Safety Systems.
• Write inspection and service reports, noting deficiencies.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in fire alarm systems and perform repairs.
• Perform system upgrades, modifications, and expansions as needed.
• Collaborate with customers, contractors and team members for quality installation and maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and inventory.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers on system operation and troubleshooting.
• Stay current with industry trends, codes and regulations.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and practices.
