Job summary

Norred Fire Systems seeks an experienced Fire Alarm Technician in Monroe, LA to install, inspect, and service fire alarm, mass notification, and related systems. You'll diagnose issues, coordinate materials, and collaborate with property managers to ensure reliable operation.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of fire alarm experience, NFPA 72 familiarity, and a valid driver’s license. NICET is a plus; on-call rotation is provided, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience with fire alarm systems, including programming.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 codes and standards for inspection, testing, and installation.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fire alarm, security and access control systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform minor repairs on fire alarm, security and access control systems.
• Rotate on-call schedule.
• Determine materials and assist in maintaining inventory for timely work completion.
• Develop and maintain relationships with building owners, managers, and customer representatives.
• Service, troubleshoot, and install fire alarm systems.
