Job summary

Empire Fire Protection Services in Rochester, NY seeks a Lead Fire Alarm Technician. You will service, inspect, and repair fire alarm systems for commercial customers, including FM200 special hazards, with on-call rotation.

The role requires 3+ years field experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work on ladders and lifts. NICET is a plus; compensation includes hourly pay, potential bonuses, and comprehensive benefits from Empire Fire Protection Services, LLC.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license (≤3 points).
• Minimum 3 years licensed driving experience.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience.
• FM200/Halon experience a plus.
• NICET certification preferred, not required.
• Knowledge of testing fire alarm brands: Simplex, Notifier, Fire-Lite.
• On-call availability.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs; ladders 6-12 ft.

Responsibilities

• Testing and inspecting fire alarm systems in commercial buildings.
• Responding to service requests, diagnose malfunctions, repair or replace equipment.
• Fire Alarm System testing and inspection per NFPA/local codes.
• Prepare accurate and timely inspection and service reports.
