Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• 5+ years of experience servicing fire alarm systems.
• Valid Driver License and clean driving record.
• Member of IBEW Local 3 H Division or willing to join.
• FDNY Certificate of Fitness S-98 required.
• Experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing Fire Alarm Systems (Siemens).
• Knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, and New Jersey Building Code.
• Ability to commute to NYC area; company vehicle provided.
• Basic computer/tablet skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot & program burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, & access control systems
• Ensure equipment is functional and operational
• Diagnose causes of problems or failures for repair
• Replace system components as assigned; panels, audible/visual alarms, etc.
• Provide technical support to customers including remote phone diagnosis
• Interact professionally with customers
• Coordinate with Manager and dispatcher to complete work orders efficiently
• Inform dispatcher or manager of status to take action
• Perform test and inspect fire alarm systems
• Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, and equipment.
