Reporting to the Fire Alarm Manager, the technician will inspect and service fire alarm devices and suppression systems, coordinating with authorities and ensuring safety and compliance during all operations.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician or Massachusetts Class D Electrical License required.
• Fire alarm experience in fire protection or commercial customer service preferred.
• NICET or equivalent training from manufacturers or institutions is preferred.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 72 and NFPA codes.

Responsibilities

• Service, install, perform maintenance, and troubleshoot on fire alarm systems per NFPA/local codes.
• Read fire alarm data sheets, system manuals, and blueprints.
• Coordinate installations with fire departments and file required records for emergencies.
• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and safe work environment.
• Meet daily/weekly service and productivity goals.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge.
• Complete service acknowledgements and NFPA documentation.
