Job Description

Performs daily maintenance of the university fire alarm system.

1. Monitor, inspect, and service fire alarm systems.
2. Perform preventative maintenance on all fire alarm systems.
3. Troubleshoot problems and repair fire alarm systems.
4. Install and relocate devices on campus due to building remodeling.
5. Participate in fire alarm testing.
6. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Requires specialized training in basic trades, principles, procedures, practice, routines or techniques in a specific area or trade, typically acquired through up to 18 months of education or training beyond high school.
• Vocational competence in the operation of mechanical or electronic equipment may be required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
• All positions are security sensitive and require a criminal history check.
