Position Summary: Anistar is seeking experienced Fire Alarm Technicians for several contract-to-perm opportunities. Candidates will assist with the installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting of all aspects of low voltage fire alarm systems. We are looking for individuals who pay attention to detail and work efficiently under minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will, under general supervision, maintain a highly analytical and problem-solving mindset while working as a team player and must have experience with the following:

Must have 5+ years of experience with the full lifecycle installation of various Fire Alarm devices and systems related to the fire safety industry. Experience in retail environments is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Install, repair, or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels for fire alarm systems based on building plans and electrical layouts.
2. Mount sensors at appropriate locations, performing tasks such as drilling holes for cabling and accessing crawlspaces or attics.
3. Ensure all work complies with current codes and regulations.
4. Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and conduit work.
5. Complete wiring, connections, and equipment installations to ensure fire alarm systems comply with electrical and fire codes.
6. Test newly installed fire alarm systems and components to ensure operational status.
7. Troubleshoot new system installations to ensure proper functioning and compliance with local, county, state, or federal codes, as well as legal and insurance requirements.

Must possess:

1. A valid driver’s license
2. A High School Diploma or equivalent (Vocational/Technical/Business School preferred)
3. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
4. Ability to travel up to 2 weeks at a time
5. FASA/BASA certification
