Job description

Viking Automatic Sprinkler Co. is searching for a qualified individual to work in our fire alarm and fire extinguisher division in Omaha, NE. The qualified candidate should be able to leverage their industry knowledge to help grow a fire alarm/suppression business. This would include service work, inspections, and installations.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintain existing customer relationships while helping to grow a new customer base.
• Identify and correct delinquencies.
• Perform fire alarm installations, upgrades, and inspections.
• Troubleshoot existing systems without disrupting customer activities.
• Ensure all work complies with codes and standards.
• Recommend improvements on projects or procedures to improve overall company success.
• Perform day-to-day field activities and understand the project budget.
• Ability to self-lead when required.
• Test and inspect fire alarms, extinguishers, and kitchen hoods.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (oral and written) are a must-have.
• Ability to function and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft products.
• Ability to obtain NICET certification if not already certified.
• Valid State License for Low Voltage work (PLT where applicable).
• Initiative and drive to help grow a business unit.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Business development/marketing skills are a plus.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
