Job description

Viking Automatic Sprinkler Co. is searching for a qualified individual to lead our fire alarm and fire extinguisher division in Omaha, NE. The qualified candidate should be able to leverage their industry knowledge to lead a growing fire alarm/suppression business. This would include selling service work, turn-key inspections, and new monitoring accounts while self-performing the work when required.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintain existing customer relationships while establishing a new customer base.
2. Grow new monitoring accounts while managing the existing monitoring base.
3. Provide accurate estimates and drawings for fire alarm installations, upgrades, and inspections.
4. Ensure all work complies with codes and standards.
5. Recommend improvements on project or procedures to improve overall company success.
6. Provide direction for future growth and planning of the fire alarm division.
7. Manage and lead the day-to-day field activities and understand the project budget.
8. Ability to self-perform work when required.
9. Test and Inspect Fire Alarm and Extinguisher.
10. Serve as trainer and coach for crew members.

Qualifications

1. Strong communication skills (oral and written) are a must-have.
2. Ability to function and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft.
4. NICET in fire alarm required with the ability to get NICET 3 in fire alarms.
5. Valid State License for Low Voltage work (PLT where applicable).
6. Initiative and drive to grow a business unit.
7. Strong organizational skills required.
8. Business development/marketing skills a plus.
9. Possess a valid driver’s license.
