Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment to meet safety and quality standards. The role requires expertise with fire alarm, intrusion, access control, and video surveillance systems, and adherence to safety protocols.

A Texas FAL license and strong communication skills are essential. You will perform inspections, calibrations, and repairs, document work in CMMS, and collaborate with teammates to ensure

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong manual dexterity and physical stamina.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once, switching between tasks quickly.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • Technical certification or associate degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain fire life safety equipment.
  • Inspect fire alarm, intrusion, access control, and video surveillance systems.
  • Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs.
  • Calibrate and test equipment to verify performance and accuracy.
  • Install, assemble, and dismantle equipment as required.
  • Document maintenance activities in CMMS and reports.

Job Summary

The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining equipment, as well as ensuring that it meets safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Familiarity with fire alarm, intrusion detection, access control, and video surveillance systems required.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment and systems to ensure proper
  • functioning.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues or malfunctions in equipment and systems.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, parts, or systems.
  • Conduct tests and calibrations to verify equipment performance and accuracy.
  • Install, assemble, and dismantle equipment and systems as required.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities, including the use of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to resolve technical issues.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and technologies to provide effective solutions.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers or end-users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements
