Job summary

RapidFire Safety & Security is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with a Texas Fire Alarm License to join our team in Texas. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and able to plan, organize and direct the completion of service and installations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing alarm and fire systems, maintaining detailed records, coordinating with the dispatcher, and performing state-licensed fire alarm inspections.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years installation experience wiring, installing and programming security and fire systems and CCTV systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and a Texas FAL are required.
  • Familiarity with alarm control panels such as DSC, NAPCO, DMP, GE, and others.
  • Familiarity with fire panels from Honeywell, Potter, Hochiki, and others.
  • Ability to work without supervision; lift up to 50 pounds; climb ladders; pull wire.
  • Clean driving record, excellent attendance, and willingness to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-service troubleshooting and repair of systems in an efficient and professional manner; know how to find answers when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and problems identified.
  • Coordinate with office manager/dispatcher to complete service and work orders.
  • Diagnose causes of problems in systems to identify repairs needed.
  • Request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory for service projects.
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to address safety concerns.
  • Perform state-licensed fire alarm inspections.
  • Provide excellent service.

Job Summary

RapidFire Safety & Security looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with a Texas Fire Alarm License to join our team. Must be self-motivated and able to plan, organize and direct the completion of service /installations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide full-service troubleshooting and repair of systems in an efficient and professional manner – this includes knowing how to find an answer if you don’t know it!
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, material used, and the nature of any problem encountered or identified with the system
  • Coordinate with office manager/dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently.
  • Diagnoses cause problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair.
  • Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of equipment required to complete service.
  • Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.
  • Perform state licensed fire alarm inspections
  • Provide excellent service
Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and Texas FAL
  • MUST have a MINIMUM of 2 years installation and experience in wiring, installing and programming security systems, fire systems and CCTV systems.
  • Familiarity with various alarm control panels including DSC, NAPCO, DMP, GE, and others
  • Familiarity with fire panels including Honeywell, Potter, Hochiki and others
  • Must be able to work without supervision
  • Be able to lift tools and equipment up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, pull wire, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail
