Job summary

Fortify Fire & Security LLC in Akron, Ohio is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to service the Northeast Ohio market. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in fire alarm systems, the state license, and experience with security systems, CCTV, and access control.

The role requires construction background, the ability to work independently or in a team, and willingness to travel occasionally with company-paid overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5 years of experience with fire alarms is required.
• Able to work at elevated heights using ladders and lifts.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and overtime to meet customer needs. Some overnight company paid travel required.
• Possess a valid state of Ohio driver’s license with good driving record.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly.

Job Title and Overview

Fire Alarm Technician

Fortify Fire & Security, an Akron, Ohio based company, is looking for an experienced fire alarm technician with experience with fire and some experience with security, CCTV, and access control in the Akron area to service our Northeast Ohio area market and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will possess the following criteria:

Technical Requirements

• Proficient in fire alarm systems
• Individual state fire alarm license
• System programming (Fire/Intrusion/Access Control/ IP Cameras)
• Using a computer and iPad
• Construction background is required

Minimum Requirements

• 5 years of experience with fire alarms
