Job summary

King & George, LLC seeks a Fire Alarm Systems Maintenance and Inspection Technician to inspect, test, maintain and repair fire alarm and detection systems at Pittsburgh Air Reserve Station, Coraopolis, PA. The role supports life-safety readiness and coordinates with facility management and electricians to restore protection.

The successful candidate will document testing results, comply with UFC 3-601-02 and PWS requirements, and maintain after-hours availability.

Qualifications

Fire protection license for fire alarms and detection
State-required training, certification and licensing
No minimum NICET level specified

Responsibilities

Inspect and test alarm devices and notification equipment.
Diagnose system faults and perform authorized repairs, adjustments and programming.
Document testing, deficiencies and corrective work; coordinate system outages.
Perform work per PWS fire protection requirements and UFC 3-601-02.
Review system defects and identify corrective work needs.
Coordinate power isolation with licensed electrician under lockout/tagout.
Verify fire detection system integrity after water leaks or HVAC work.
Provide device-level findings for maintenance records; no unrelated duties.
Maintain on-site core-hour and after-hours availability.
