Sciens Building Solutions in Pompano Beach, FL is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Technician with programming, commissioning and troubleshooting capabilities. This role collaborates with our sales, field project teams and clients to ensure a sound design and seamless installation and commissioning of fire alarm solutions.

You will review system layouts, produce field surveys and logs, program and commission systems, prepare NFPA-compliant reports, manage schedules and inventory, mentor

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a technician role within fire detection and protection.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 code requirements.
• Knowledge of Florida fire procedures, filing, and requirements.
• Ability to read fire system design drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review system layouts and coordinate with engineering, project management, and sales for successful project execution.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
• Program, commission and obtain final acceptance by customers and AHJs of complex fire alarm systems.
• Produce detailed commissioning and inspection reports per NFPA.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and resolve them effectively.
• Manage project scheduling and ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Provide guidance to other technicians and support to the team.

This position will work closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure a sound design, and seamless installation and commissioning of our fire alarm solutions. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of executing projects. Customer and employee interface require a high degree of effective human relations.
