Job summary

Electronic Metrology Laboratory, LLC is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Mechanic for a full-time role in the Hopkinsville/Memphis area. You will install, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm detection and suppression systems to NFPA standards and manufacturer specs.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, 5 years of experience in testing/repairing fire alarm systems, a valid driver’s license, and relevant certifications such as NICET Level 1.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum five (5) years testing and repairing fire alarm systems.
• Must be knowledgeable in addressable fire alarm systems and NFPA standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems per specifications and NFPA standards.
• Inspect equipment visually, diagnose faults, and perform needed repairs.
• Read blueprints, interpret specifications, and plan work from instructions.
• Interface with customers and coordinate with subcontractors as needed.
• Comply with safety rules, PPE requirements, and company SOPs.
