KING AND GEORGE LLC in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Maintenance and Inspection Technician to inspect, test, maintain and repair fire alarm and detection systems at the Pittsburgh Air Reserve Station – Coraopolis.

The role emphasizes coordinating with facility management, electricians and customers, documenting testing results, and ensuring compliance with applicable fire protection requirements. On-site duties and after-hours availability are expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed to inspect, test and maintain fire alarm systems.
• Must hold fire protection license for alarms and detection.
• Able to read and follow written procedures and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test alarm devices and notification equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform authorized repairs and programming.
• Document testing results and coordinate system outages.
• Adhere to PWS fire protection requirements and UFC 3-601-02.
• Review defects and plan corrective work and replacements.
• Coordinate power isolation with licensed electricians under lockout/tagout.
• Verify system integrity after leaks or HVAC work and maintain records.
• Maintain on-site core-hour and after-hours availability; no unrelated duties.
