Job summary

Johnson Controls in Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Fire Alarm Installation Apprentice to join a team that completes the installation of fire protection systems, including fire alarms and related devices. You will assist with low-voltage wiring and device installation for access control, security, and suppression systems.

Ideal candidates have an electrical/electronics background, can lift up to 70 lbs, work flexible hours, and follow safety policies.

Qualifications

• Electrical/electronics background required.
• Experience with low-voltage wiring and troubleshooting.
• Physical ability to carry and move up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 ft.
• Flexible hours and adherence to safety policies.
• Excellent communication and a positive attitude.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug test; obtain required licenses.

Responsibilities

• Install fire protection systems, including fire alarms, access control, security and suppression.
• Handle low-voltage wiring and device installation; maintain tools and equipment.
• Follow project drawings, safety policies and procedures; work with the team.
