Job summary

UL Solutions Northbrook, IL is seeking a Project Engineer to independently determine project scope, develop plans, and coordinate testing and client communications across lab activities. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 3–5 years' TIC experience, strong client communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3-5 years of experience in control panels or TIC.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Independently determines project scope, develops a preliminary plan of investigation, and determines project specifications by analyzing client input, data, and product construction.
• Projects may include frequent travel to client sites for testing.
• Initiates communication with clients to promote and explain UL services.
• Follows up on contacts from clients and discusses technical issues and costs with them.
• Coordinates laboratory activities and project management, including data sheets and scheduling staff.
