Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an entry-level Fire Alarm Support Technician to assist with installation, service, inspection, and maintenance of security and low-voltage systems, including intrusion, access control, and CCTV. You will learn company standards, safety procedures, and how to deliver excellent customer service while supporting senior technicians.

Responsibilities include assisting with testing, documentation, and site safety, traveling to job sites, and growing technical skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No minimum experience required.
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record (if driving).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical systems.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under direct supervision.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work effectively in team environments.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and proper working condition.
• Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

The Fire Alarm Support Technician is an entry-level role responsible for assisting with the installation, service, inspection, and maintenance of security and low-voltage systems including intrusion detection, access control, video surveillance (CCTV). This role supports senior technicians and field teams while learning company standards, safety procedures, system functionality, and customer service expectations.

• Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
• Use of hand tools and testing equipment under supervision.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
